Position: Electronics Technician 3 - Chantilly, VA with Security Clearance

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit, you will help design, engineer, integrate, operate and maintain electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio‑visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high‑growth markets.

Responsibilities
  • Installing and maintaining electronic security systems.
  • Performing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
  • Leading teams on small moderately complex installation projects.
  • Conducting and documenting daily toolbox talks.
  • Installing all head‑end equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.
  • Programming head‑end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.
Qualifications
  • Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship. ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ POLYGRAPH clearance required.
  • Education/

    Experience:

    • HS diploma or GED.
    • Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours).
    • Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program.
    • Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program.
    • Additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
    • Valid driver license and acceptable driving record. Position may require use of a company vehicle.
Required Progressive Experience
  • 6+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.
  • 3 of those years focused in electronic security systems.
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills is a plus.
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time.
Desired / Advantageous Qualifications
  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems: CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems, and related experience in installation.
Abilities
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Work at heights up to 60 feet and use scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders.
  • Use a standard ladder without exceeding weight limits while carrying tools.
  • Good vision (may be corrected), ability to see in color, and ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • Recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong, and apply general rules to specific problems to produce sensible answers.
