Fire Alarm Inspector Helper

Job Description
This is an entry-level field role assisting with the testing and inspection of commercial fire alarm systems throughout the Northern Virginia area. You will work alongside experienced inspectors, learn the systems and the trade, and grow toward becoming a Fire Alarm Inspector yourself. The hiring manager is specifically looking for candidates with low voltage experience and a military background, with a strong preference for stable work history.

What You'll Do:

• Test and inspect commercial fire alarm systems in assigned buildings
• Identify and report problems or discrepancies found during inspections
• Monitor the fire alarm panel and ensure all devices function correctly
• Interact with building owners and engineers before, during, and after testing
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures on every job site

Requirements

High School / GED or equivalent experience

Experience with troubleshooting and repairing low voltage electronics

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Strong initiative, adaptability, and reliability
