HVAC Technician II

** Overview*
* ABM is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician II to support service and maintenance operations in Chantilly, VA. This is a field-based role, dispatched from home, focused on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC systems. This position is ideal for a solid mid-level commercial technician looking to grow with a stable organization. Residential-only experience is not a fit for this role.

** Responsibilities*
* + Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems

+ Perform preventive maintenance and service repairs on customer equipment

+ Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using standard HVAC tools

+ Work on RTUs, split systems, and packaged units (light-to-mid tonnage)

+ Complete service documentation and communicate effectively with customers

+ Follow safety standards, codes, and ABM procedures

** Qualifications*
* + 3-5 plus years of commercial HVAC experience

+ Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance background

+ EPA Universal Certification required

+ HVAC trade or vocational certification preferred

+ High school diploma or equivalent

* + Packaged units and RTUs up to mid-range tonnage

+ Exposure to chillers or refrigeration (not required)

+ Experience working in commercial facilities

* + Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

+ Ability to travel throughout the DFW area

+ Ability to lift equipment and perform physical job duties

+ Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed

+ Pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR required
