Service Technician

A Pool Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, cleaning, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of residential and/or commercial swimming pools, spas, and water features.

• Clean pools by skimming debris, vacuuming, brushing walls, and emptying baskets
• Test and balance water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.)
• Add chemicals safely according to regulations and company procedures
• Inspect pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and other pool equipment
• Diagnose and perform basic repairs on pool systems and plumbing
• Open and close pools seasonally
• Maintain accurate service logs and customer records
• Communicate with customers about needed repairs or recommendations
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in pool maintenance, mechanical repair, or related field preferred
• Knowledge of water chemistry and pool equipment
• Ability to lift heavy equipment/chemicals (50+ lbs)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record often required
• Strong customer service and time-management skills
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and driving between service locations
• May require weekends or seasonal overtime during peak summer months
