Overview
This position will be responsible for the installation of complex integrated security systems to include the wiring, equipment and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems for clients.
Responsibilities- Install cabling, field equipment & control equipment enclosures in customer locations according to the national electric code, company and customer guidelines.
- Use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot complicated problems during installation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
- Readjust, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
- Perform system checks for proper operation.
- Use hand and power tools to properly mount and secure equipment.
- Conduct end‑user training.
- Isolate trouble to a customer network, where applicable.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 1 to 3+ years of experience in Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
- 1 to 3+ years of experience in Access Control Systems.
- Understanding of the function and design of Alarm Systems.
- Experience with IP addressable security devices.
- Advanced TCP/IP networking skills.
- Proficiency with all aspects and operation of ADT A.I. core card access, CCTV systems.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, paying close attention to details.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Completes and submits all necessary paperwork related to job assignments.
- Computer literate; knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
- Associate Degree or 2-year technical school program graduate.
- Industry-recognized apprentice training program may be substituted for the formal education requirement.
- Specialized training/certification in Access Control Visitor Management.
- Additional experience: MCSE, CCNA, Surveillance Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems and Security Gate Operators.
Pay Range: $23+ hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
