Carpentry Assistant

This position involves assisting skilled carpenters with installing containment and blanking panels. The role requires a strong focus on teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately to contribute to the timely completion of projects. Pay: $20-22 per hour

Schedule:

Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and materials.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Valid work authorization for employment in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a carpenter helper or in a related construction role.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in construction environments.
  • Basic understanding of reading blueprints or technical drawings.
  • Certification in OSHA safety training or similar workplace safety programs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist carpenters in measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials according to project specifications.
  • Prepare and organize tools, equipment, and materials needed for daily tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and safe worksite by removing debris, securing materials, and following safety protocols.
  • Support the installation of structures such as framing, cabinetry, and fixtures under the guidance of experienced carpenters.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and report any issues or material shortages.
