Expert Test Engineer

Description

Leidos is seeking a Test Engineer for a technical development program supporting the Sponsor's Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM /ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes and Digital Policy Management. The Test Engineer will work with a large team of developers, software engineers and data engineers.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API testing.
• Execute automated regression suites and analyze results to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with developers and QA peers to identify test scenarios and automation opportunities.
• Contribute to test planning, case design, and documentation.
• Perform manual testing (functional, exploratory, regression) when needed.
• Report and track defects to closure in coordination with development teams.
• Stay updated with emerging test automation tools and techniques.

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 12+ years of experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
• Software professional experience in QA with a focus on automation.
• Strong knowledge of automation frameworks/tools (e.g., Selenium, Katalon, Cypress, Playwright).
• Experience in API testing (Postman, REST Assured).
• Understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#).
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, or Azure Dev Ops).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust).
