Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to support Government activities at Chantilly, VA. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing the application’s frontend framework, building modular, loosely coupled components that integrate with backend microservices, and collaborating with the development team to create reusable UI components, optimize performance, and ensure accessibility.
Responsibilities and DutiesIn addition to the above, the candidate will:
- Maintain and evolve the frontend architecture to support scalability and high performance.
- Work closely with backend teams to attach frontend components to microservices.
- Ensure the application meets accessibility standards and performs optimally across browsers and devices.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or work experience. - Experience:
10+ years of related experience. - Technical skills:
Hands‑on experience programming web and client/server applications using Java, Type Script/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. - Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience upgrading Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA from older to newer versions.
- Hands‑on experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular.
- Experience with database design and querying using SQL and Oracle.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git (Git Hub, Git Lab, etc.).
- Experience building APIs and services using REST.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
- Desired experience:
Linux‑based or Windows‑based systems and shell scripting; AWS or other cloud platforms; build automation technologies like Gradle, Maven, Jenkins; testing frameworks (JUnit, Cypress). - Location:
Chantilly, VA – onsite; - Travel required:
less than 10%.

The likely salary range for this position is $186,787 - $252,713. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements, and could fall outside this range.
