Software Engineer Security Clearance

Please note you must have an ACTIVE TS/SCI with a FULL SCOPE POLY We’re hiring a Backend / Systems Software Developer to join a cutting-edge team working with large-scale data systems and modern cloud technologies. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands‑on, highly technical environment and enjoys building and optimizing systems that handle complex, high-volume data. You’ll play a key role in designing and developing scalable backend services and middleware, working with technologies like Java (8+), Python, AWS, and Spring Boot, while leveraging big data tools such as Spark/PySpark and search platforms like Elastic or Solr.

You’ll also be involved in data quality analysis, API development, and system performance improvements in a Linux‑based environment. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys end‑to‑end ownership—from development through deployment—and wants to work on mission‑critical systems alongside a collaborative, fast‑moving team. You must have demonstrated experience utilizing big data technologies such as SPARC or PYSPARC.

• Demonstrated hands on experience in Solr or Elastic such as running an index, spinning up a Solr cluster and loading an index onto the cluster, and/or making Solr/Elastic schema changes, etc.
• Demonstrated experience performing data quality analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with Regular Expressions (Reg Ex).
• Demonstrated experience programming using languages such as Java, JavaScript, Bash, and Python.
• Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services.
• Demonstrated experience writing Java 8+ (we will be upgrading to Java 17 later this year)
• Demonstrated experience with JIRA and GITHUB.
• Demonstrated experience with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs
• Demonstrated experience with Linux operating systems such as CENTOS.
• Demonstrating experience designing, developing, and deploying middleware and/or backend code to a production system
