Description
Leidos has immediate opportunities for a UI/UX Engineer to join a team building innovative software supporting the Sponsor’s Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM /ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes and Digital Policy Management. We're supporting a well-established customer that is responsible for critical and high‑visibility missions applications used by a wide audience. Our team is tremendously talented, and we need to add a talented and creative UIUX Engineer to the team.
Primary Responsibilities- Proven ability to create well‑structured and maintainable Word Press site themes from scratch.
- Proficiency in developing Word Press plugins to support custom site functionality and integrations.
- Good eye for design and attention to detail.
- Improve the overall efficiency of the website’s back‑end including database and server integration.
- Maintain and optimize the Word Press theme and plugins.
- Conduct website performance tests, and execute performance enhancements to improve site speed.
- Monitor the performance of the live website and troubleshoot content and user experience issues that arise.
- Responsible for both back‑end and front‑end development including the implementation of Word Press themes and plugins as well as site integration.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills are required to perform well as a member of a rapid paced, cross‑functional team environment.
- Utilize agile development methodology.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Requires BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
- Understanding of usability and accessibility issues across all device types.
- Experience with Word Press front‑end development using the following technologies: HTML5, SASS (or equivalent preprocessor)/CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Word Press back‑end development using the following technologies: PHP, MySQL, WP REST API, JSON.
- Developing custom features and functionality for Word Press.
- Creating Word Press plugins.
- Producing unit testing and QA.
- Developing and Testing for Accessibility.
- Certification – Amazon Web Services (AWS).
