Software Engineer
Overview
Two Six Technologies is seeking a Software Developer on a 200+ FTE technical development program responsible for delivering modern Identity Access Credential Management (ICAM) solutions.
Responsibilities- Develop unit and functional test plans
- Provide operations and maintenance of operational systems
- Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost constraints
- Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met
- Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict outcomes
- Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation
- Collaborate with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to gather project information, limitations, and requirements
- Resolve errors by making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure desired results
- Conduct trial runs to ensure software produces the desired information and that instructions are correct
- Document program development and revisions with comments to aid understanding
- Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs
- Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent and identify improvements
- Revise, repair, or expand existing programs to increase efficiency or meet new requirements
- Write or rewrite programs, analyze workflows, and apply knowledge of computer capabilities and logic
- Develop user guidance, manuals, or instructions as needed
- Investigate network, workstation, or system responsiveness to program instructions
- Prepare workflow charts and diagrams and convert them into coded instructions
- Consult with operators or analysts to define and resolve problems in running programs
- Assign, coordinate, and review programming work
- Design, develop, and maintain applications within the cloud environment, including transitioning legacy applications to the cloud
- Requires a BS degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or a MS with 12-15 years of relevant experience
- Experience managing and developing web software
- Demonstrated experience with cloud services
- Experience in Windows and/or Unix
- Experience using code repositories such as Git
- Experience documenting code and methodologies
- Familiarity with writing unit and integration tests
- Experience with Spring and Java
- Experience with Postgre
SQL databases - Experience working in an AGILE development environment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and scalable/parallel architectures
- Interest in learning new technologies and staying current with industry trends
- Understanding of Intelligence Community customers and their priorities
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
