LOCATION:

Full-time, onsite in Chantilly, VA We’re seeking a Software Engineer with strong systems administration fundamentals, hands‑on Python and Linux shell scripting experience, and the ability to build secure, reliable solutions across JWICS and C2S environments. In this position, you’ll design and maintain Elastic Search/Open Search capabilities, integrate complex AWS and C2S services, and develop cloud‑native workflows using CDK.

Key Responsibilities In this challenging yet rewarding role, you are an integral part of what brings our Company's mission to life. You must have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience in and/or with:
* Experience in System Administration
* Python.
* Linux shell scripting.
* Building and maintaining secure web applications on the Sponsor’s network JWICS C2S network
* Designing, developing, querying and maintaining Elastic Search/AWS Open Search and related technologies
* Writing and tuning complex queries against structured and unstructured data sets using both SQL and Elastic Search/Open Search languages
* Integrating Services C2S services including Lambdas, SNS, SQS, etc.
* Using AWS Cloud Development Kits (CDK). (Cloud Formation, Terraform or similar are NOT substitutes for CDK experience)
* Integrating AWS services including Lambdas, SNS, SQS, etc., in the sponsor’s classified environment
* Building Docker containers and images.
* Cloud services, including Lambda functions and layers, S3, Batch, EC2, Event Bridge, SQS, SNS, IAM roles, Dynamo

DB, and container services.
* Transforming data in various file formats into common formats, such as JSON, CSV, or XML.
* Leveraging a background in programming, software tools and packages, operating systems, and networking to solve collection needs in cloud environments.
* Ability to listen and transcribe from mission need to technical requirements for the client's consideration.
* Ability to reflect back an understanding of the mission need described and convey how a technical solution will deliver mission results.
* Prioritizing work based on mission need.
* Documenting and communicating technical and non-technical mission requirements for all audiences.
* Working with other technical teams across multiple organizational boundaries.
* Assessing project requirements and making informed recommendations.
* Working with application developers to identify and implement infrastructure and deployment requirements. Highly Desired Qualifications Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include:
* Tools, such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, JADX, or APKtool.
* Multiple cloud providers.
* Other programming languages besides Python.
