This is a full-time position based in Chantilly, VA which requires 100% onsite work.
What You’ll Be Doing- Develop software in a modern language to support space, ground, and launch systems in the national security, civil, and commercial domains.
- Leverage your software engineering skills to solve complex problems in various software systems domains.
- Identify exciting opportunities for adopting new technologies, such as AI, to solve existing needs and predict future challenges.
- Drive positive change by introducing new perspectives, challenging established practices, and fostering a culture of innovation within the team.
- Collaborate with teams across the corporation to develop cross‑domain space solutions and engage with customers to leverage the latest technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field) with one or more years of relevant experience (post‑Bachelor).
- Experience in web application development using Spring Framework, Java, Python, RESTful services, or cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and team collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Source Tree, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability in coding and scripting with at least two programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C/C++).
- Experience with collaborative source code management (Git, Subversion), Agile Development, and Dev Sec Ops .
- Proven experience with Windows and Linux development environments.
- Hands‑on experience with Linux environments.
- Willingness to travel approximately 15% domestically to customer sites.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Advanced degree in STEM with an emphasis in Computer Science or other relevant discipline.
- Current and active TS/SCI clearance.
- In‑depth knowledge and experience in AI/LLM.
