Clearance Requirement

Applicants must currently possess an active TS/SCI with Full‑Scope Polygraph (FSP) to be considered for employment. Insight Xcite does not sponsor or process security clearances at this time.

Work Location Requirement

All Insight Xcite positions are onsite. Remote or hybrid opportunities are not offered. Applicants must be willing and able to work in person at the designated customer location.

About the role

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to support mission‑critical operational and enterprise environments within the Intelligence Community. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining modern web applications, APIs, and backend services that support high‑priority customer missions. The ideal candidate has experience across frontend and backend development, thrives in collaborative engineering environments, and enjoys solving complex technical challenges using modern technologies and frameworks.

What

You'll Do
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain modern full‑stack applications
  • Develop frontend interfaces and backend services supporting mission and enterprise systems
  • Build and maintain APIs, integrations, and distributed applications
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and operational stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and system performance issues
  • Participate in Agile development and Dev Ops activities
  • Contribute to secure software development and deployment practices
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and code repositories
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
  • Minimum 6 years of software development experience
  • Experience with backend development using technologies such as Java, Python, Node.js, or similar
  • Experience developing APIs and enterprise applications
  • Experience with Git, version control, and software development lifecycle practices
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with Dev Ops, CI/CD, or automation tools
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community or government environments
  • Experience with modern UI/UX principles and responsive design
  • Relevant technical certifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay range: 190,000 – 250,000 USD per year (Government Client Site – Herndon VA)
