AWS Admin​/Full Stack Developer

Overview

Are you interested in creating cloud‑based solutions to meet our customers’ challenging missions? We are seeking an AWS Admin/Full Stack Developer who is motivated by variety, seeks professional growth, and wants to support a dynamic program for a national security client. The AWS Admin/Full Stack Developer will design, develop, deploy, and support technical solutions in a collaborative team environment. This position requires an experienced, self‑motivating individual capable of performing in a fast‑paced development environment while interacting effectively with key customers and users.

The developer should have strong systems, software, cloud, and Agile experience to support a program that develops a variety of tools for users and efficient business operations. They will participate in and/or direct major deliverables through all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including scope, estimation, architecture, design, coding, and unit testing.

• Develop and integrate custom software solutions hosted on a cloud‑based platform.
• Design, develop, deploy, and manage the client’s cloud infrastructure, services, and security applications to ensure the environment is scalable, reliable, secure, and cost‑effective. Work with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and others, focusing on day‑to‑day operations such as provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing resources.
• Manage, maintain, optimize, and deploy the client’s cloud infrastructure. Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure efficient and secure operation of cloud‑based services, focusing on performance, scalability, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Possess a deep understanding of various cloud technologies, systems, and platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP) and infrastructure‑management technologies (e.g., Cloud Formation, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
• Produce detailed functional design documents to match customer requirements.
• Collaborate to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs.
• Provide best‑practice and third‑party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document.
• Design workflows and assignment rules to automate manual processes.
• Create and maintain system-related documentation, including business requirements, process flows, data maps, and configuration worksheets.
• Monitor networking requirements and costs to manage customer needs.
• Collaborate with the customer’s security team to meet all security requirements.
• Present architectural plans to customers and work with stakeholders to handle projections and changes as needed.
• Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement using Java, JavaScript, Python, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Leverage JIRA and Confluence to track activities.
• Apply and identify best practices and standard operating procedures.
• Create innovative solutions to meet customers’ technical needs.

• Candidate must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI with Poly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of experience.
• Current AWS certification (Solutions Architect, Dev Ops Engineer, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in configuring and managing core AWS services:
  • EC2, ECS/EKG for compute resources
  • S3, EBS, EFS for storage solutions
  • VPC configuration, security groups, and network architecture
  • IAM for access management and security policies
  • RDS, DynamoDB, or other AWS database services
  • Cloud Formation, CDK, or Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Cloud Watch for monitoring and alerting
  • AWS Cost Management tools
• Demonstrated working experience in the AWS cloud as a systems administrator conducting set‑up, development, and maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience using JavaScript, Python, and Java, and data formats such as JSON and YAML.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Backend development using Node.js, Python, or similar.
• RESTful API and GraphQL development experience.
