Servicenow Developer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Service Now Developer / Application Developer to support the operations, maintenance, enhancement, and future development of mission-critical Service Now applications within a secure customer environment. The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and customer groups to maintain the existing Service Now instance, develop new applications and workflows, and deliver solutions based on evolving mission and business requirements.

• Provide ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M) support for existing Service Now applications and the current Service Now instance.
• Design and develop new Service Now applications based on customer, mission, and business requirements.
• Create, configure, and modify Service Now workflows and workflow processes.
• Develop and maintain Catalog Items, Record Producers, and Service Now Portals.
• Create and manage system notifications, scheduled reports, and daily operational reports.
• Develop and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
• Use JavaScript to customize Service Now applications and implement customer-specific functionality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and integrate web application programming interfaces (APIs).
• Support system installation and configuration activities within Windows server environments.
• Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, development, testing, and delivery.
• Track requirements, tasks, defects, and technical issues using Jira.
• Incorporate information security policies and technical security requirements into system and requirements documentation.
• Troubleshoot application, workflow, integration, and system issues.

Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly on day one of employment.

• Demonstrated hands‑on experience developing and supporting Service Now applications and workflow processes.
• Experience providing O&M support for existing Service Now applications and instances.
• Experience developing new applications and functionality within the Service Now platform.
• Experience creating and modifying:
  • Workflows
  • Catalog Items
  • Record Producers
  • Portals
  • Notifications and reports
  • Business Rules
  • UI Policies
  • Client Scripts
  • Access Control Lists (ACLs)
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript.
• Familiarity with MySQL.
• Familiarity with PHP scripting.
• Experience developing software solutions in an Agile environment.
• Experience tracking requirements, tasks, and technical issues in Jira.
• Familiarity with Windows server installation and configuration support.
• Familiarity with developing and integrating web APIs.
• Familiarity with incorporating information security policies into technical and requirements documentation.
