Group Fitness Instructor — Multi-Format Classes

SAIC is seeking experienced certified Group Exercise instructors to lead group fitness classes. Instructors will inspire physical fitness for Intelligence Community Professionals at a customer site in Chantilly, VA. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Preferred candidate will have experience teaching a variety of fitness levels and formats such as strength training, cycling, HIIT, yoga, Pilates. Candidates should note that this position is up to 1-5 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to perform an aerobic activity for duration of a class, which may include, but not limited to, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneeling.

• Ability to perform exercises specific to the assigned class.

• Educates class participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine.

• Ensure the safety and enjoyment for all in fitness classes.

• Attentively listens to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes.

• Cleans and organizes studio space before/after each Group Fitness class, record class metrics, and time worked.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience;
  Masters and one year of related experience.

License/Certification (required):

• CPR Certification.

• Certification to teach 2 or more of the preferred exercise classes.

• Nationally accredited certification required in personal training and/or group fitness. Acceptable certification include:
  National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Council of Exercise (ACE), American Fitness Aerobic Association (AFAA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA).
