Position Summary

HIRING

SCHEDULE:

2B Thru-Sat & alternating Wed from 5pm–5:30am. Pay: $26.50 + $2.50 shift differential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Mentor and train new and existing associates in specific distribution activities.
  • Train associates on current SOP including shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control.
  • Assist in forklift operation and certification for new and existing associates.
  • Oversee and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, stacking, picking, and staging outbound shipments for maximum productivity.
  • Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers and ensure accurate product counts.
  • Efficiently and accurately load orders according to appropriate doors and trailers.
  • Process all shipping/receiving/picking functions as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Research discrepancies that may occur in the shipping and receiving process.
  • Conduct professional customer interactions via telephone, electronically or in person.
  • Prepare required activity reports accurately and efficiently for site management.
  • Use appropriate documentation to ensure all products and orders are received or shipped correctly and accurately picked.
  • Verify products and orders meet quality standards, reporting any damages or discrepancies.
  • Stack, package, shrink wrap, and label products.
  • Report inconsistencies and problems to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.
  • Participate in quality meetings.
  • Comply with ISO standards, safety protocols, and OSHA/MSDS standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse and ensure security of the warehouse.
  • Participate in safety meetings.
  • Direct the operations of the warehouse work team to achieve prescribed objectives.
  • Assist associates and temporary labor with completing productivity sheets and accurate payroll hours.
  • Assist the Operations Supervisor in maintaining a productive workforce.
  • Participate in establishing and implementing work schedules.
  • Ensure job assignments are completed properly and effectively.
  • Maintain active forklift certification.
  • Operate equipment such as sit‑down, stand‑up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, aisle master, or pallet jack.
  • Maintain and report equipment problems, performing daily inspection and minor maintenance.
  • Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks: answering telephones, scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, filing, and record keeping.
  • Work evenings and weekends as needed and work overtime as dictated by business.
Minimum

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a logistics, distribution, or related environment.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate.
  • Completion of a forklift training program.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience with RF scanners and Warehouse Management System functions.
  • English language skills – reading, writing, and verbal.
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities, counting inventory, and other related tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and timely delivery of tasks.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Effective communication with all levels of the organization.
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
  • 2–4 years proven forklift experience.
  • Current or prior MHE certification.
Physical Demands
  • Occasional hand and finger manipulation, sitting, handling product and packaging.
  • Frequent bending.
  • Constant walking and standing.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds.
  • Reach above shoulder, outward, squat, or kneel.
Work Environment

Rare exposure to fumes or airborne particles and low to moderate noise level.
