Position Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse staff operations, equipment, and inventory. Dispatch/assign equipment (MEI and rentals) and tools to crew per job requirements including scheduling of equipment repairs. Completion of all paperwork related to equipment maintenance, issues and repairs including the ordering of permits.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervising all activities related to shipping and receiving, including but not limited to, receiving, inspecting, storing, packaging, and shipping of customer equipment. Making sure all inbound or outbound damages are properly documented and communicated.
  • Schedule all incoming loads and give appropriate appointment times.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping documents and making sure all inbound and outbound deliveries are logged into MEI portal correct, in full and in timely manner.
  • Lead and motivate assigned team of associates, providing guidance, training, and delegating tasks to ensure optimal daily performance and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and secure working environment for all employees.
  • Maintain the condition of the warehouse in a manner that is consistent with the company’s standards.
  • Develop and implement efficient yard layouts and processes to optimize storage space and shipping-receiving operations. Conduct regular inspections of yard, stored equipment and heavy lifting handling equipment to maintain operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Drive performance and develop the warehouse team in a manner that is consistent with the Continuous Improvement process.
  • Interact with customers, drivers, vendors, auditors, and visitors in a manner that is consistent with MEI’s mission and policy statements.

  • Oversee the process:
    Prepare, organize, and distribute all required paperwork to appropriate groups (crew, accounting, operations management) related to the job, change orders, assignment of crew and equipment, safety, JHA’s (job hazard analysis) and equipment repairs & inspections.
  • Maintain issues and repairs of company owned equipment.
  • Review, edit and adjust labor hours in electronic timekeeping system (ADP), preparing final review and approval by manager.
  • Update dispatch job board daily by adding and cancelling pending and confirmed jobs.
  • Communicate daily with job foreman and drivers for efficiency of scheduling and dispatch.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education):
  • HS diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Minimum 2 years’ warehouse supervisory experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years proven dispatching experience or comparable logistics coordination experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in Microsoft Office applications i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education):
  • Industrial Machinery Equipment Operations experience.
  • Logistics experience to interface with transportation companies.
  • Professional

    Skills:
  • Familiarity with OSHA DOT regulations.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
Physical Requirements and

Working Conditions:
  • Will work in mostly outdoor environments with exposure to inclement weather and uneven terrain.
  • This is very physical, hands‑on work. A Warehouse Supervisor must be able to perform General Physical Activities — activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling or moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work off the ground at varying heights and not be affected by moving machinery or parts.
