6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, up to 4:30 PM

Monday-Friday (Saturdays as scheduled)

$17.00 - $20.00 / hour (pay ranges are commensurate with experience)

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our team at our location in Chanute, KS. The Material Handler will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the facility, ensuring that production lines have an adequate supply of materials to meet production goals.

• Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within the facility.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, or shelves.
• Operate Bridgewood Cabinetry’s computer program for check‑in and check‑out of material.
• Communicate with departments within the plan over crate deliveries.
• Inspect and verify incoming materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
• Fill in for the company driver by operating the company box truck, transporting material and inter‑company mail from one location to another in‑town.

• 2 years’ experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to efficiently operate a computer.
• Ability to pass our MVR check.
• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical.
• Must be able to pass on‑site forklift training and certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to climb into and out of the forklift safely.
