Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community.
SummaryThe Charge Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing clinical oversight and supervision of nursing care during assigned shifts to ensure quality outcomes and regulatory compliance. This role guides nursing staff, administers medications and treatments, completes resident assessments, and serves as a central communicator between residents, families, providers, and leadership.
What You’ll Do- Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shifts
- Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures
- Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs
- Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation
- Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and nursing leadership
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
- Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met
- Address, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect
- Ensure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicate needs to leadership
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety
- Uphold Americare’s mission, vision, values, and company policies
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills
- Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations
- Experience in skilled nursing, long‑term care, or senior living preferred
- Passion for resident‑centered care and team collaboration

- Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed
- Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance 350 lbs.
