Active Kansas or multistate RN license, AHA BLS - Experience:
Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing
- Hourly Rate: $56.95/hr

- Provide comprehensive care to adult and pediatric patients, including those with complex medical conditions
- Administer medications, treatments, and infusions as required (potential infusions with infusion center)
- Use Cerner EMR for accurate charting and documentation
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, ensuring quality patient care
- Maintain patient safety ratios of 4:1 or 5:1
- Adapt to a diverse patient population, occasionally caring for pediatric cases such as Croup or RSV
- Valid Kansas or multistate RN license
- Minimum 1 year of current Medical-Surgical experience
- BLS certification (AHA) required at time of submission
- General Medical and Surgical nursing knowledge
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
This assignment is with a leading facility in Chanute, Kansas, dedicated to high-quality patient care. The unit handles a variety of adult and pediatric cases, with occasional pediatric care needs. Orientation is brief, with 1-2 days of onboarding to ensure you're prepared. Flexibility in block scheduling is possible, including working blocks of three days in a row, to accommodate your preferences.
