RN - Obstetrics

Chanute, KS

Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 36 hours per week | 8-week assignment

• Provide direct patient care in an Obstetrics unit during routine scheduled day shifts
• Participate in delivery room activities, including receiving and caring for newborns
• Float to Med Surg when OB census is low and provide care to medical-surgical patients as needed
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management
• Adhere to holiday coverage schedule as required

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
• Previous delivery room experience, including receiving babies
• Previous Med Surg experience required due to float potential

• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Ability to adapt to varying patient populations across OB and Med Surg settings

• Consistent, routine day shift schedule with no on-call requirements
• Opportunity to gain cross-departmental experience in both Obstetrics and Med Surg
