RN - Obstetrics

Chanute, KS

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 hours per week | 8-week assignment | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in the Obstetrics unit during scheduled night shifts
• Perform delivery room duties, including receiving and caring for newborns
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart monitoring as part of routine OB care
• Float to Med Surg when OB census is low and provide care to medical-surgical patients as needed
• Adhere to holiday coverage schedule as required
• Document patient care using Cerner EMR

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
• Previous delivery room experience, including receiving babies, required
• Previous Med Surg experience required due to float responsibilities

• Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
• Experience working in a cross-trained or float capacity between OB and Med Surg

• Consistent, routine scheduled shifts with no on-call requirements
• Opportunity to work in a collaborative OB environment with a defined 8-week contract
