Customer Delivery Driver 7.5T

Monday-Friday | £95 per week performance bonus scheme

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will deliver an excellent home delivery service using a 7.5 tonne vehicle, representing the company at customers’ homes. You will be responsible for safe and timely transportation of furniture and mattresses, ensuring fragile items are handled with care, delivered to the correct room and assembled where required to the company’s service standards. You will work closely with the Warehouse and Customer Care teams to provide updates, resolve delivery issues and contribute to continuous improvements in the delivery experience.

• Operate and drive a 7.5T goods vehicle safely and in accordance with company policies and the Highway Code.

• Hold and maintain a valid driving licence and valid CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) for passenger and/or goods vehicle driving as applicable.

• Deliver furniture, beds and related products to customers’ homes, carrying items into the correct room, placing them as requested and performing basic assembly and installation where required.

• Provide excellent customer service at point of delivery: greet customers, explain delivery process, manage expectations and resolve minor issues on site or escalate when necessary.

• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery, accurately recording any damages or discrepancies and reporting these through the correct channels.

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and conduct pre‑ and post‑shift vehicle checks, reporting any defects or incidents promptly.

• Work with colleagues in Warehouse, Scheduling and Customer Care to confirm delivery slots, update customers and adapt routes to meet operational needs.

• Adhere to manual handling and health & safety procedures at all times to protect yourself, customers and colleagues.

We’re looking for reliable delivery drivers with home delivery and furniture delivery experience who take pride in excellent customer service and safe driving. You’ll be comfortable working to a planned route while remaining flexible to changing priorities and customer needs.

• Valid full UK driving licence with entitlement to drive 7.5T vehicles.

• Valid CPC qualification for drivers (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) and willingness to keep it up to date.

• Proven home delivery experience, ideally including furniture or bulky goods delivery and basic assembly.

• Strong customer service skills with a polite, professional manner when representing the company in customers’ homes.

• Competent with smartphone or handheld devices to capture signatures, photos and delivery notes.

• Empathetic – you listen to customers and respond with understanding and patience.

• Resilient – able to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing schedules or difficult situations.

• Passionate – proud of delivering great service and taking ownership of the customer experience.

• Strong communication – clear with customers and colleagues, escalating issues when required.

• Teamwork – willing to support warehouse and delivery colleagues to get the job done safely and efficiently.
