Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate Lead to support and lead daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, dock operations, inventory movement, and material handling activities. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of products throughout the warehouse while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse leadership, shipping and receiving, and working in a fast-paced dock environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping materials and products.
Coordinate and monitor shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate inbound and outbound shipments.
Verify quantities, part numbers, destinations, and shipment schedules using various source documents.
Oversee dock operations, including trailer loading and unloading, dock scheduling, and freight movement.
Ensure proper documentation of shipments, receipts, inventory transactions, and transportation records.
Operate and assist with equipment used for weighing, banding, wrapping, packaging, and material movement.
Demonstrate safe operation and basic maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles.
Train, coach, and support warehouse associates while promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
Assist with inventory control activities, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness while adhering to company policies and safety standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
1-3 years of warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain experience.
Previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred.
Shipping and receiving experience.
Dock operations experience.
Forklift experience preferred.
Working knowledge of warehouse management and inventory systems.
Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents and work instructions.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
Logistics and supply chain operations.
Inventory control and cycle counting.
Freight coordination and transportation processes.
RF scanner and warehouse management system experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
