Location: Chapel Hill, NC (onsite; relocating to Timberlake, NC mid-year)
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt

About the Role:
Voltage is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Cost & General Ledger Accountant to support the finance department. This role is critical to ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting integrity as we scale our domestic production footprint.

• Prepare, maintain, and update Bill of Materials (BOM) costing
• Analyze raw material cost fluctuations and impact on product margins
• Ensure proper inventory accounting under the Weighted Average costing method
• Prepare monthly cost sheets and margin analysis reports
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, provisions, reclasses, adjustments)
• Ensure proper classification of expenses and revenues
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual GL closing activities

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in manufacturing cost accounting
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)
• Experience supporting monthly close in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost allocation methodologies
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, variance modeling)
• CMA or CPA preferred
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to communicate effectively in person and via phone/video. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
