The Administrative Support Associate will play a crucial role in providing efficient administrative support to the faculty within the UNC Department of Radiology. The Administrative Support Associate’s primary function will be supporting the faculty from two to three of our clinical divisions. This position will perform various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations and support the department’s mission. Position duties include, but are not limited to, managing calendars, planning meetings and events, coordinating travel arrangements, maintaining records and files, and processing departmental correspondence.
The position will also assist in budget monitoring, procurement activities, and data entry.
This employee will interact with staff, trainees, faculty from other departments, and external stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication and customer service skills. The employee will be detail-oriented, organized, and multitask in a fast-paced environment using strong computer skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Management PreferencesThe preferred candidate will have experiences in an academic setting, be customer service focused, and also have experience with writing complex or comprehensive communications with a high level of clarity.
