The primary purpose of this position is to formulate, manage, and oversee all aspects of the budgets assigned to the Football Cost Center. This includes football specific budget management and oversight, financial reporting, analyzing of expenses and revenue; direct, honest and accurate communication with the Business Office and Football Staff. Position assists in reconciliation/auditing of Football transactions to ensure compliance with NCAA, ACC, State and institutional regulations.
This position will work with the Football staff as the point person for all purchasing needs; processing (and at times approving) Football specific transactions.
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- High proficiency level with Microsoft Excel, strong analytical skills and experience preparing budget reports with a strong aptitude for assembling and compiling pertinent data for presentation to coaching and administrative staff.
- Substantial experience that demonstrates sufficient accounting competencies that are necessary to perform the work.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines, as well as the ability to provide clear, concise and accurate information.
