The Administrative Support Specialist provides comprehensive administrative, financial, and research support services for the Carolina Institute for Neurodevelopmental Disorders. This position is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and managing faculty research-related financial activities, including the receipt, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of sponsored project funds, contracts, and other funding sources. The position serves as a key liaison among faculty investigators, the Center, and the departmental business offices.
The Administrative Support Specialist will provide administrative support to Center leadership and faculty affiliated with the Center, maintain confidential financial and administrative records, and develop and maintain tracking systems, databases, and reporting tools to support Center operations and research activities.
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Management Preferences- Experience in higher education, research administration processes, or sponsored programs
- Knowledge of University financial systems
- Experience supporting PI and managing grant-related financial activities
- Advanced Excel reporting skills
