Position Summary

The Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (GPAM) at the University of North Carolina is recruiting a BC/BE child abuse pediatrician to join the Child Maltreatment Section. This individual would help to grow the inpatient and outpatient child maltreatment clinical program and participate in resident and medical student education. Other clinical opportunities would also be incorporated into the faculty position based on interests of the candidate.

The development of other areas of faculty expertise relevant to child abuse and neglect is encouraged. Depending on the experience of the candidate, additional duties may include a leadership role within a component of the Child Maltreatment Section. This recruitment is for an Open rank, fixed term, 0.5 to 1.0 FTE Academic appointment that will be offered commensurate with the candidates experience.

The Child Maltreatment Section is a diverse team that currently includes two board certified child abuse pediatricians, three generalist pediatricians, one nurse practitioner and two social workers.
