Position SummaryThe Department of Surgery at The University of North Carolina is seeking applications for a board eligible/board certified full‑time academic cardiac surgeon to join our Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. This academic appointment is Open Rank and may be fixed term, tenure/tenure track and/or variable track. Rank and track will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience. The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery is among nine clinical divisions in the Department of Surgery.
The Division currently includes 10 faculty members among three sections: adult cardiac surgery, congenital cardiac surgery, and thoracic surgery. The faculty members in the Section of Adult Cardiac Surgery provide a broad array of clinical services to provide the highest quality care for the full spectrum of cardiac surgery including adult cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support.
