Position SummaryDivision of Cardiology at UNC Chapel Hill is recruiting for an Open Rank, Fixed‑Term, Tenure, Tenure‑Track or Variable‑Track Faculty appointment as an Electrophysiologist (EP) cardiologist. The successful candidate will be proficient in the full range of EP procedures including device implantation, ablation, and cardiac resynchronization therapy. Responsibilities include performing procedures in the EP laboratory, outpatient electrophysiology, and teaching cardiovascular fellows and EP fellows.
Attending on the inpatient service is also possible for interested applicants. Protected research time is available for those with a track record in cardiovascular research. Candidates seeking a larger research focus may pursue a joint appointment in the McAllister Heart Institute. The role requires collaboration with the Division of Cardiology and the Department of Medicine to facilitate services and achieve program development objectives, exceeding quality and customer service standards.
Well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
