We welcome applications from all fields of economics, and we are especially interested in candidates with teaching experience in econometrics. Duties will include undergraduate teaching, mentoring, and service. A successful candidate will be able to manage teaching responsibilities that include enrollments ranging from 25 to 400 students. We will consider applicants completing their graduate degrees as well as those with experience in academic and other settings.
To be hired as a Teaching Assistant Professor, a completed Ph.D. in Economics or a related field is required by July 1, 2026 . An initial appointment of Instructor will be applied to a successful candidate who expects to complete the Ph.D. by July 1, 2027 . Review of applications will begin by November 1, 2025 and continue until the positions are filled or closed.

Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The primary purpose of the Department of Economics is to provide excellent education, research, and service in the field. This goal breaks down into four important components:
1) to teach economics to undergraduates in a manner that will introduce them vigorously to its broad scope;
2) to offer scientific and professional training to graduate students to prepare them for teaching and research careers in the fields of microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and applied microeconomics (labor, health, education, and development) and industrial organization;
3) to carry out cutting-edge research in these areas to be published in professional journals;
4) to provide consulting and administrative support services to the department and the economics profession as well as to the university, local community, state, and nation.
Position Summary
This position is for a fixed-term faculty member at the rank of teaching assistant professor in any field in Economics. Teaching responsibilities are 6 courses per academic year. Duties will include undergraduate teaching, mentoring, and service. Teaching responsibilities will include enrollments ranging from 25-400 students.

Special Physical/Mental Requirements Campus Security Authority Responsibilities
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
