Student Affairs at the Gillings School of Global Public Health provides an array of services and resources to prospective, admitted and current students. We aim to enhance student development by providing a supportive and safe environment in which you can achieve academic, social and professional success. We coordinate major school wide programs such as orientations, a student activities fair, a career and internship fair and professional development workshops.

We work to recruit excellent students; coordinate diversity outreach programs to expose high school, undergraduate students and professionals to the field of public health; and offer career services for current students and recent alumni.

Guest speaker will present a 10‑15 minute speech congratulating students and addressing the role of public health in creating a healthier, more equitable world after the peak COVID years and during a time when politics in America are increasingly complex. The speech will also highlight the transformative power of a public health degree to confront complex local and global challenges and to help all communities move closer toward meeting the vital conditions of health needed for a healthy society where all people have the opportunity to fulfill their potential.

All materials will be prepared prior to the session for review by supervisor.

Formal study and/or special study in assigned area sufficient to demonstrate knowledge through presentation; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
