The EL Tutor/Translator will be able to:

  • Provide bilingual support to students and families
  • Review student placement and progress with the classroom teacher
  • Support students in language development within the classroom
  • Follow daily lessons and strategies recommended by the supervising teacher
  • Instruct, motivate and manage students in school settings
  • Participate in Parent/Teacher/Family conferences as requested
  • Prepare and maintain accurate student records as needed such as call logs, etc.
  • Attend in-service training sessions and family/parent engagement nights as requested
