University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring a Temporary NTSP Instructional Coach to support beginning teachers through the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program (NC NTSP), part of the School of Education. The part-time role delivers individualized, in-the-moment instructional coaching aligned to each teacher's growth and professional development.
Highlights- Coaches beginning teachers through NC NTSP's three core services: a professional learning institute, individualized instructional coaching, and aligned professional development.
- Supports transformative, intentional coaching aimed at improving beginning teacher effectiveness and retention.
- Works within the UNC-General Assembly New Teacher Mentoring Project, administered by the College of Education at East Carolina University.
- Requires travel, which is reimbursed per NTSP policy.
- Requires a master's degree in education, special education, instructional design, educational technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Prefers experience leading adult professional learning and knowledge of NC Professional Teaching Standards and the NC DPI Induction Program.
- Pays $30.00-$44.00 per hour for 15 hours per week over 6 months or longer.
- Begins 10/01/2026 as a stated-definite-term, part-time temporary staff position.
