The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) is one of six health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Social Work, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. The Director of Alumni Affairs supports the Master of Science in Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Program through alumni engagement, program administration, instructional support, research collaboration, and student mentorship. The position leads efforts to strengthen relationships between program alumni, students, faculty, and industry partners while supporting the program’s strategic goals and mission.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing alumni engagement initiatives; coordinating alumni communications and networking activities; supporting alumni recognition and outreach efforts; and fostering ongoing connections between graduates and the program. The position collaborates closely with program leadership to enhance alumni participation and advance program visibility.

The incumbent also contributes to the academic and scholarly mission of the program through guest instruction, mentorship of students, participation in educational activities, and support of faculty-led research and project initiatives. The position serves as a resource to students, alumni, faculty, and program stakeholders by providing professional expertise and promoting meaningful engagement with the program.

This is a temporary, part-time position that averages approximately two hours per week and reports to Stephen Eckel.

Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Prior experience in alumni program management for masters program.
