Chemical Engineer (R&D / Innovation Lab)

Are you a Chemical Engineer who enjoys bridging the gap between innovation and manufacturing
? Join our Research & Development team and play a key role in scaling new formulations from the lab to pilot and commercial production.

About the Role

As an R&D Chemical Engineer
, you’ll provide hands-on technical leadership within our Formulation Development team
, supporting the successful scale-up of new products. You’ll collaborate closely with R&D scientists and manufacturing teams, establish and maintain a bench-to-pilot scale laboratory, and ensure smooth technology transfer from concept to production.

What You’ll Do
  • Establish and maintain a fully functional scale-up lab
    , ensuring equipment is calibrated, safe, and production-ready
  • Design and execute formulation development experiments to support scale-up and manufacturing
  • Partner cross-functionally with R&D and manufacturing to support technology transfer and pilot runs
  • Troubleshoot formulation and process challenges in pilot and commercial production
  • Plan and run small-scale production batches (1–40 L) with in-process testing (pH, viscosity, particle size, stability, etc.)
  • Create and maintain batch records, SOPs, COAs
    , and other technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (PPE, SDS, GHS)
  • Support continuous improvement through process optimization, 5S, and preventive maintenance

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Strong foundation in chemical process principles and formulation science
  • Hands-on experience with lab or pilot-scale mixing and dispersion (internships/co-ops welcome)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience with batch records, SOPs, DoE, and basic statistics is a plus
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
