The Role
Voltage is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented CAD Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and detail mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using CAD software. You'll play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations, improving design efficiency, and collaborating cross‑functionally to ensure high‑quality, compliant engineering solutions.
What You'll Do- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards.
- Review specifications, sketches, and engineering concepts to determine design feasibility and requirements.
- Update and revise designs to correct issues or incorporate improvements.
- Perform mechanical calculations and basic analyses to validate designs and ensure performance.
- Support prototype creation, testing, and verification to confirm manufacturability and functionality.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate materials, tolerances, and mechanical performance.
- Work with manufacturing teams to resolve design issues and improve processes.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and assembly requirements.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings and engineering change records.
- Ensure revision control accuracy and compliance with documentation standards.
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into updated models and drawings.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, CATIA).
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
