Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to assist individuals who have an autism spectrum diagnosis to meet employment needs. The role involves coordinating program services and activities, monitoring, evaluating, and modifying them as needed, and developing resources. All services are provided in the community, requiring frequent travel and the ability to work alone to provide support to autistic adults.

Responsibilities
  • Assist autistic adults with employment preparation and support in community settings.
  • Coordinate program services and activities, including planning, monitoring, evaluating, and modifying them as needed.
  • Provide basic services to clients already placed in employment settings, typically serving 1–3 clients per setting.
  • Collaborate with family members, employers, other provider agencies, medical staff, residential providers, and local mental health agencies.
  • Maintain effective communication and positive relationships with the community.
  • Observe and provide input during team meetings and supervision sessions.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the autistic population.
  • Experience working with people on the autism spectrum or with intellectual/developmental disabilities (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Physical/Mental Requirements
  • Must be able to work in person and perform job duties, including demonstration of work skills, with or without accommodations.
Schedule & Work Requirements
  • Full‑time, 40 hours per week (8 am–5 pm, Monday–Friday).
  • Occasional evening, night, and weekend work, and overtime as needed.
  • Exposure to blood borne pathogens.

This position is not center‑based; all services are provided in the community.
