• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the emergency services department.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow, safety, and satisfaction.
• Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and staffing to maintain operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
• Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement among staff.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and operational performance.
• Serve as a key liaison between the emergency department and other hospital departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required;
  Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
• Active license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role within an emergency services setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of emergency nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in healthcare technologies and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
