Position: Travel Med-Surg Nurse (RN) - Chapel Hill, NC
A skilled Registered Nurse with Med-Surg and Charge RN experience is needed for a travel assignment in Chapel Hill, NC. This role supports a 29-bed unit specializing in adult to geriatric care, focusing on orthopedic and medical-surgical patients. The unit includes telemetry monitoring and features an on-site physical therapy gym to enhance patient recovery. High patient volume includes joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties.

Schedule:

• Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float duties as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic and medical-surgical patients across various age groups
• Manage telemetry monitoring and patient assessments
• Coordinate with physical therapy for patient rehabilitation on the unit
• Fulfill Charge RN duties ensuring efficient unit operations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Valid RN license with Med-Surg and Charge RN expertise
• BLS certification required
• Willingness to float as necessary
