Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic , service-oriented temporary Sales Assistant Intern to join our Graduate by Hilton Chapel Hill team!

JOBDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with completing daily/weekly/monthly reports
- Distributes routing correspondence, reports or contracts (to include BEOs, Sales Contracts, PACE Reports, Statistical Reports) based upon organizational practice, policies, and at the direction of the Director of Sales or General Manage
- Ensures all documents are completed accurately and on time and maintains sales records and filing system
- Assists with set up, maintaining, and clearing of banquet space before and after events
- Administers group and meeting/banquet events including greeting all groups, creating and placing welcome amenities in rooms, finalizing items with the group at check in/out
- Follows up with past clients to ensure guest satisfaction
- Coordinates with customers on due dates for rooming lists, cut off dates, BEOs, contracts, to ensure that all deadlines are met
- Works closely with front desk to ensure accuracy of reservations, groups, events
- Responsible for learning the hotel brand and property-level strategy
- Drive customer loyalty in order to grow share of the account by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience
- Conducts tours / site inspections of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures
- Provide prompt and accurate responses to all client requests for proposals and information
- Helps in assisting the client in menu planning, coordinate food, beverage, table arrangements, and decorations ensuring clients details are executed
- Completes daily/weekly/monthly reports as directed by the DOS/GM

- Assists with development and creation of property-specific sales & marketing collateral
- Assists with student property-specific marketing strategy
- Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
- Minimum of High School education
- College hospitality major preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong project management skills
- Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven and strategic thinking
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and consistently demonstrate a high level of organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
