Primary Purpose of Organizational UnitWUNC Radio provides quality news, information and entertainment programming to a broad listening audience that includes North Carolina, the United States and the world. WUNC serves North Carolinians from Greensboro to the Outer Banks through a network of ten stations.
Position SummaryThis position will provide technical support and/or programming to staff which may include installing and configuring computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners, diagnosing, and solving hardware/software issues and analyzing any underlying issues as necessary. This position will also carry out project management of IT systems upgrades, migrations and organization.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements- Associate’s degree in Computer Information Technology, computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role;
- Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role;
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution;
- or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Journey level required an additional one year of experience
- Advanced level required an additional two years of experience.
- Knowledge of Windows OS installation with troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of networking, TCP/IP setups for computers, printers
- Knowledge of audio studio equipment
- Ability to research issues and projects
- Experience in standard office software, PC and Mac OS or hardware
Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50lbs with or without accommodation, and negotiate ladders.
