Job Type: FULL AND PART-TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Summary: As an Engineer Tech for the Hotel Division of Summit Hospitality Group, you will perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safety and quality of the hotel’s facilities and equipment. You will promote a safe working environment, collaborate with managers and inspectors, and strive to provide excellent service to both internal and external guests.

• 1-2 years of experience in hotel engineering or a related field; experience with name‑brand hotels preferred.
• Can‑do attitude and willingness to jump‑in and handle assigned work with cheerfulness and respect.
• Service‑oriented style with professional presentation.
• High energy and attention to detail.
• Teamwork and partnership attitude toward fellow associates and management.

• Ensure complete guest satisfaction and greet guests in a friendly manner.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and work orders, such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patching vinyl, to maintain hotel standards.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance assignments (e.g., “room care”).
• Service the hotel’s pool, including chemical adjustments, filter cleaning, and log maintenance records.
• Assist in checking and making minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure strong satisfaction.
• Recognize potential safety hazards and security problems, acting accordingly and complying with hotel policies.
• Maintain knowledge of HVAC, boilers, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.
• Diagnose and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment.
• Support co‑workers and be a responsive team player.
• Maintain all franchise standards and follow up on inspection deficiencies.
• Investigate guest complaints.
• Assist in conducting departmental operational audits and developing corrective action plans.
• Practice the “Summit Hospitality Culture” and ensure cultural expectations are implemented.
• Support the hotel’s training needs and efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Flexible work schedule, including availability on weekends.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Stand and move around the facility for most of the shift.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing & pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently.
• Frequently handle objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
• Adhere to the physical demands described here for successful job execution.
• Obtain and/or maintain any government‑required licenses, certificates, or permits.
