Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse:
Provide direct nursing care for patients in the pre-op, intra-op, and post-anesthesia phases.
Prepare and maintain a sterile environment while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure safe and efficient procedures.
Assess patient conditions and document vital signs, medications, and surgical details accurately.
Administer medications and monitor anesthesia effects under established guidelines.
Advocate for patient safety and well-being throughout the surgical experience.
Assist with surgical instrument and equipment setup, counts, and post-op clean-up.
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional competencies.

Requirements of the Travel Nurse:
Active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact state eligibility
Current BLS and PALS certifications
Must have Pediatric experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in an operating room or surgical nursing setting
