Nurse Navigator - Interventional Radiology Pediatric Program

It's an exciting time to join the Interventional Radiology team at UNC Health! Our services are expanding to include a more inclusive offering of Pediatric Interventional Radiology (VIR) at UNC Medical Center.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join our growing team as a Nurse Navigator. In this role, you will work closely with our Pediatric provider and serve as a close point of contact for the pediatric patient and family throughout their IR journey.

This position offers a lot of patient and family engagement and interaction along with professional autonomy.

This position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities. Flexible scheduling options are available.

• A minimum of two years of hospital nursing experience, along with 1 year experience in Interventional Radiology or Pediatric nursing preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• The ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a state-accredited school of professional nursing
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
• Two (2) years of nursing experience and one (1) year in the area of specialization

• Proficiency in patient care coordination across multiple disciplines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage complex scheduling and logistics in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
