Certification Details
- Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and patients.
- Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects.
- Performs bedside point of care testing as required.
- Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs.
- Consults with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues.
- Participates in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities.
- Promotes a safe, clean and secure hospital environment.
- Recognizes data from complex situations to determine priorities for care.
- Collaborates with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care.
- Reads journals to apply research to practice.
Job Details
- One (1) year of nursing experience required.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
- Charge nurse responsibilities and precepting experience required or expected.
Job Requirements
- Night shift.
- 12 hours per day.
- 36 hours per week.
Schedule Information
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- May have charge nurse role or precepting nearly every shift.
Unit Specific Information
- Will accept 48 hour guarantees.
