Unit Overview3 West Acute Care Nephrology & Medicine Team - New Graduate RN Opportunity (Fall New Grads)

The 3 West Acute Care Nephrology & Medicine unit invites dedicated, passionate, and growth‑oriented nurses to join our team. You’ll be at the forefront of advanced nephrology care, surrounded by a team that values challenge, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Unit Highlights- 22 bed acute medicine unit
- 1:5 nurse‑to‑patient ratio
- Primary patient diagnoses include:
End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis;
Acute Kidney Injury;
Chronic Kidney Disease;
Dialysis Access Issues;
Renal Transplant Rejection;
Autoimmune disorders
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating day/night shifts + weekends
- Self‑scheduling to balance individual and unit needs
- Must be eligible for RN licensure in North Carolina prior to start
- Final semester nursing students or graduates within the past 12 months
- Less than 6 months of RN experience
- Year‑long, structured transition‑to‑practice program

Up to $10,000 in relocation assistance may be offered (dependent on mileage).
Responsibilities- Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
- If hired after January 6 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment and obtain a Bachelor’s degree major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the day of clinical care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
